When is the effective income tax rate if I'm making LHDN declaration for year 2007 when calendar year now 08'?
Personal Income Tax - LHDN, Malaysia Calendar year is 2008, Making Income Tax Declaration for year 2007. Made Laptop purchase of 3200 on 20 April 2008. Is this tax deductable for LHDN declaration for 2007? or 2008? There is a tax relief of 3000 for computer purchases. Does Lap Top count?

keep the receipt, you can only get the Tax relief in 2008. As the purchase was done in 2008. Tax computation for year 2007 is only for all activities from 1 Jan 2007 to 31 Dec 2007. Yes, Laptop is counted as computer purchase
