is it cheap to get laptops in malaysia.?
my dad is going to malaysia shortly...now are the laptops cheap there than in india or wat else could be got from there... kindly suggest...! please

Laptops here cost anywhere from RM 1800 up to even RM 10000. A decent one will cost usually around RM 2300. I don't know about laptops in India so I guess we have 2 wait 4 another user to answer?

depend on what brand you're looking for... if Acer, it might varies from RM1800 to RM3000 but, if you choose MacBook, well it start from RM5000 and up...

Laptops in Malaysia via Low Fat electronics mall in Bukit Bintang behind Sungei Wang si cheaper by about 15% than your place and my place in the Philippines , but bear in mind electronics are taxed when you bring it in your country especially India. So the savings you get is not even enough to pay the duties and taxes at the customs airport and also the after sales service will not be available or slow to respond from your local agency of the brand of laptop you bought. Am sure Laptops are cheaper in India because most of laptop components are now made in India. Clothing and shoes are great buys in Malaysia , cell phones and electronic gadget buy in India.

Get it online from the Dell in Malaysia. It's easier and hassle free, further more 10% cheaper compare to computer shops
