If you really want to bargain and find the highest density of notebook shops, then head for Low Yat Plaza. You just have to take the KL Monorail train to Imbi stop, get down and walk about 30 to 40 meters and it is there. Everybody in the area knows where it is, don't worry you can ask once you get there is unsure. Another place to go is MidValley although the prices can be abit more expensive than LowYat.

Your nick looks local. Anyways they are dirt cheap nowadays. As low as RM1,600 you can own a laptop. There's probably 2 places you can go. First is Low Yat, which is located behind Sungei Wang Plaza. Make sure you check every stores before buying because every stores offer something special and most important, remember to bargain. The other place you can go is the new Digital Mall at section 14 Petaling Jaya. There's plenty of varieties as well and it works exactly the same as Low Yat. In fact you can find similar companies in both malls. One thing you should know about buying electronics. If you are paying cash, you can bargain for a really low price. If you are paying by card, they'll charge you the % ranging from 3 ~ 5. So, know your budget and bring cash along with you.

Low Yat Plaza is cool.. but 1 advice though (my hubby is working with computers co.) if you want to buy any IT products make sure they have world wide warranty cover. If not, u'll end up having ur laptop unrepaired if anything happen. Best choice is, to buy it somewhere near to your home, though the price is quite tingy.. but in the end, if anything happen to your laptop, you wont want to go back to Malaysia to get it repaired right?

Cheapest laptop - China & Japan. But getting back to your Q's, since you're coming to Malaysia. Then welcome to Malaysia! 2 Major Spots for bargains & etc. - Lowyat Plaza @ KL. - Imbi Monorail If you go there, you can also visit Berjaya Times Square for shopping & etc. which is just opposite. - Digital Mall @ PJ. (Digital mall's also sister of Lowyatt. thus many of the shops there hv. company names & even boss.) Nearby PJ Hilton, Asia Jaya LRT station. Else you can check in websites like Dell, HP & etc. where they do free deliveries & etc. for you. It all boils down to which type of laptops & what's the specifications you wanted. Some of my friends from Europe & UK said the price of laptop in Malaysia's cheaper. It just depends on which country you're comparing from. Singapore of course is cheaper in most technology devices & versions, but are you going there & willing to spend money to go there :P Visit Malaysia on August, you can catch the Fireworks Festival @ Putrajaya & Sales season till 2nd Sept. 2007 //fuiyoh so bermegahx2 promoting malaysia :
