NEC.. yea this is made in malaysia.. or that what i thought.. but if i were you, i wont buy this brand.. i'll buy acer or dell instead.. price almost the same.. but more reliable..

benQ has a factory in penang it's actually from taiwan though their laptops are pretty good they send it to penang for repairs and maintenance benQ also has a few service outlets just for their products www.benq.com.my

boon q???? huh? if u are a non-bumi, acer got good price for you. but beware to buy in authorized retailer only coz, there is an acer model which suppose not to be sale in malaysia. so if u found the model, dont buy them coz u wont get the warranty. if u are a bumi, go try dell. both dell and acer are very good and affordable laptop.

how can i safely receive a dell xps 1310 laptop(1800$) from malaysia to the philippines without paying extra
how can i safely receive a dell xps 1310 laptop(1800$) from malaysia to the philippines without paying extra?
i was planning to buy the laptop online from the dell outlet in malaysia. i am told that the customs and tax that i will have to pay for a gadget of this price could be around 19000 pesos. noway am i going to pay that kinda money. i'd rather buy a return ticket to malaysia, buy the laptop there and come back. but is there any way i can get my laptop safely here without having to pay such a huge amount in customs and tax?

Not legaly. And if you found a way and they hear about it then you will pay the tax AND loose the laptop
