what laptop should I buy - DELL INSPIRON or SONY VIAO
assuming they have same configuration. Which lap is better ? And also a dealer is offering me an imported dell inspiron(indonasia/malaysia)- some script is scribbled on querty in exporters native language. he is offering me that on a bit of cheaper rate. Shall i consider that too.

i got a problem with maple story
i got a problem with maple story?
i download MS version 0.69 for malaysia users. after i've finished installing it, there's the gate..i chose Malaysia and my laptop got hang..i wait a few minutes than there's a box saying maple story than there's an ok button..when i clicked it..the MS window closed than there's nothing..i try it again but the same thing happened.. can someone help me? i'm 14 and not that good with computers

Try uninstalling it and re downloading and installing. You can also check your internet connection to see if something is wrong while installing/downloading.

Hmmm...I would make sure that you've got your firewall disabled and you should also make sure that you are using an account with administrative priviledges. If these don't fix your problem, download and install the manual patch into your MapleStory directory and if THAT does not work, I would suggest you uninstall and then reinstall MapleStory. -->Make sure that you are playing Maple Story on an account that has administrative priviledges. I have found that this is required in order to properly play the game. -->Make sure that you have the latest version of Java installed on your computer. -->Make sure that you have the latest version of DirectX installed on your computer. -->Make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Maple Story before trying to play it. -->Make sure that you have your firewall on your computer disabled. im turning 14 on september this year and i know its kinda early but im not sure if i should ask my parents to buy me a dslr camera or a laptop.i live in malaysia and the stuff here are sadly pricey than back in europe.but from what i think i probably couldnt get any of those since my mom has 2 laptops already.and if someone who knows more about finding good stuff in malaysia HELP! i just want something thats rare to find and the price should be worth it :D itll be really great if any of you have awesome suggestions :) and btw im a girl hee hee :P umm i think getting a camera is good ;) so which is the best and cute digital camera? nikon or canon?

Just use a 110 to 240 voltage converter. They are available many places. The link below leads to one such place. Just be sure to get a converter big enough, but not too big, for your needs. The 50 Hz/60 Hz frequency is not normally an issue.

May be some areas in US is provided with 110V, 50 Hz, I'm not sure, nevertheless, convertion from 220V to 110V is very simple. it is enough to get a 220/110V transformer. I live in india. i plan to buy a laptop. after a broad search, i found dell E1405 and hp dv2000t. i list out my questions now. first, guide to me a choose one or is there any other laptop with 14 inch screen and a decent configuration. i am a web developer. it should suit my needs. i am not an avid gamer. 2. the price difference between US and other countries. I found the price in US for dell e1405 is 800$. will they levy me additional taxes. is there any price difference in purchasing online and directly buying in shops. is it a rule that one should bring only one laptop with them, while they are travelling to other countries from US. if they levy taxes or custom duty, how much will they charge me? I have friends in taiwan, singapore,malaysia. so, if i cant buy a dell r hp laptop in US, where should i buy other than US? I found indian laptops are too costly . let me know if there are service centers in india for dell

The dell one would prove better than the HP one. Also if you have budget of 1to 2 Lakhs & you want to have a Blue Ray Disk Writer then you should go for Sony Vaio.

so i asked this question just yesterday.....but the people did not know what i meant so here's the question and i wanna make it simple. lets just say i am in LONDON and i want to order a MALAYSIA dell laptop (not a UK dell laptop, a malaysia dell laptop) on the MALAYSIA's dell WEBSITE! so what i basicly wanna ask is : can i order a malaysia dell on the malaysias dell website from a computer in london and when i reach back to malaysia its like right there?

With Dell in particular you have to send it to them [at your cost] and wait for at least 2 weeks to get it back. Almost no one will work on a Dell so Dell's got you. If you take the time to check Dell's website everyday you will see the same model computer configured slightly different and with a different price. Deceptive to say the least. Hope this helps you make a decision no matter which computer you buy. Here's why you should get a Mac:: There are NO CONS. The MacBook does both WinBloze and OSX, no other computer can make that statement. You have the best of the best. Acer Aspire One does not have windows installed. It has linux(lite version). An Intel atom processor, with1.60 Ghz,wifi ,512 mb Ram. The office it has is open office , NOT MS office. You need to install microsoft windows later if you want it. You can play games but made specifically for the linux platform. I think the one is available in malaysia, check out the wen site i have provided below. Suitable Desktop Case?
My friend wanted to build a new desktop system because the price of laptops in Malaysia is way to expensive that some of it didn't come with the spec that he wanted. He asked for my help to find if there is any type of desktop cases which are small and portable that can be fitted with desktop system for playing games(not a hardcore gamers),surfing internet and etc. I already search through the internet and I couldn't find it. The specs are: 1) AMD Phenom II X2 555 BE 2) Gigabyte Motherboard 3) Kingston DDR3 RAM 4) Sapphire HD 5770 1Gb Vapor-X 5) Western Digital 500Gb HDD If we build a desktop system with AMD processor and Nvidia graphic card, will it be any compatible issues?

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811154071 Even has a handle for easy carrying. The case is small, so it only fits a mATX motherboard. I don't see any problems with your parts. Just make sure you have a decent AM3 motherboard. I'd suggest either the 770 chipset (cheaper) or the 870 chipset (more features, more expensive). If you were to use a single Nvidia graphics card with an AMD system, there would be no problem. However, if you had a board that has SLI support and you were to try to use 2 Nvidia cards in SLI, you'll probably get some sort of issue. AMD motherboards and SLI haven't really worked out too well. EDIT: Your friend is in Malaysia, but you didn't say what country you were in, so I gave you a Newegg (USA) link. Just search for the case at whatever site you need to use if you're not in the US

Its nice to know you have something booked, they will fetch you from the airport (which is a fair way from KL), and I think its a better rate anyway. This was a really nice inexpensive hotel in KL last time I went but that was a few years ago. The Concorde is 10-15 mins walk from the main shops but plenty buses and taxis if that's too far. The new MRT may even be finished to go there by now. Its right next to the Hard Rock Cafe although the Malaysian food is excellent (go where the locals go) I would be cautious to buy a laptop as its going to be pretty hard to take back if there's a problem but there are plenty places in KL to buy them, you will need to decide your specification before you go so that you know what you are comparing them with and if its worth the risk. Bukit Bintang has many shops selling clothes and everything else at good prices. China town market has cheap fakes. Presumably you will fly into KL but 5 days is a tight time frame to go far without wasting too much time traveling so Pennang may be too far. Why not try to stay longer because although KL is great, its a big city and doesn't necessarily represent the true beauty of this fantastic country and its great people

Both seem very evenly matched, if I had to choose I would go with the HP. Because of my previous experience with their products and in this particular case, it (the HP) has a slightly larger disk.

How can we not talk about the hard drive size? The hard drive is very important. More space means having more files/programs installed. HP would be the choice.

Maybe you should just backup your files in a separate disk (HD or cd/DVD) then get a genuine copy of WinXp. I doubt there is a legal way to validate a "not genuine" version of Windows.

I bought a dell studio xps 16 from malaysia, I live in the philippines. The screen has some sort of defect, while I was using it a dead pixel suddenly just appeared, its pure black and no matter what I do it wont go away. Im planning on transfering the warraty so that I dont have to send it all the way to manila to have it fixed. So what company would be better to transfer the warranty to? Accent micro or nexus?

Go to Lowyat and see for yourself, lah! :-P Really, its easier, and you can check it out firsthand. If reliability is really important, get HP or Compaq. Its not that Acer and Dell aren't reliable, but HP and Compaq have exceptional build quality.

If size is not your main criteria I like the SONY Vaio.. if you are looking for something that is used for entertainment, work and a large screen I recommend the Toshiba Qosimo or the HP Pavilion.. though a bit bulky its about 4.5kg.. But if weight is an issue.. the Sony Vaio's works quite well and the service centers are global..

They won't bother....but they can claim other things....like pornography inside the disks...and they can tell by your reaction whether that is true or not.....then you will need to "loose some weight"....

I bought a laptop in Malaysia, now im in Thailand and need to know what too buy so I can plug it in here without damaging it? Adapter says, Input: 100-240V 50-60Hz Output: 90V = 1.58A And no the plug dose not fit the wall :(

I have a 20 hour flight to Malaysia (with a brief layover in Beijing) in one week. Any recommendations on how to balance taking sleeping pills, watching movies, reading books, and otherwise keeping sane to make it through such a long flight? I'm flying coach on Malaysia Airlines. Do they have outlet ports to plug in my laptop? Additionally, I've never been to Malaysia before, and reading weather reports only provides so much info. Any recommendations on dress? Lastly, any other pointers to help me best prepare for this trip?

The best for me is to sleep on flight. So I'll be energetic once I arrive in Malaysia. There's so much to do here. Beggy long pant/ loose shirt /socks / pilow your own pillow if you can pack on as a carry on...and gameboy or whatever is in now. Malaysia is a very humid place.. you might need some face wipes...one thing is to cool you down and can clean your face too..take a look at the tissue wipes...have a nice trip.

Hi there. I've waited a long time to buy a new laptop and now I have save enough money to buy it. I preferred to buy Dell Studio XPS 16, but when I open Dell Malaysia website, i notice that they already have a new version of XPS which is Dell XPS 14 & 15. It took me some time to compare the specification that new laptop offered. Right now, I doubted whether to buy Dell Studio XPS 16 or Dell XPS 15. So, I need some of your review & comment( if possible, a computer expert) about these two laptop only. If you preferred Dell Studio XPS 16, should I go with ATI Radeon HD 565v or HD 5730? If you preferred Dell XPS 15, should I go with Nvidia GeForce GT 420M or GT 435M?

The mobile HD 5730 is alot better than the mobile HD 565v gpu. And the GT 435M is just slightly faster than the GT 420M. And between all 4, the HD 5730 is the fastest, and better at gaming than the other 3. So I would go with the one that has HD 5730 equipped

Hi there. I've waited a long time to buy a new laptop and now I have save enough money to buy it. I preferred to buy Dell Studio XPS 16, but when I open Dell Malaysia website, i notice that they already have a new version of XPS which is Dell XPS 14 & 15. It took me some time to compare the specification that new laptop offered. Right now, I doubted whether to buy Dell Studio XPS 16 or Dell XPS 15.
