Is credit card safe ?
HI EVERYBODY Yesterday I saw an advertisement in which a merchant he had declared that he sells cell phones and cameras and laptops. When I checked out the prices I was somehow shocked. The prices were even lower than a half of the OFFICIAL prices which have been de cleared by the company! When I contacted the merchant for shopping He said that the only shipping methods which is acceptable to him for 2-3 units is Western Union and money Gram but he accepts Paypal for more than 20 units when I asked the reason he said Western Union is faster and more reliable for us.After goggling this issue in the internet i found that most of the merchants who only accept WM/MG are fraud and scam and if you deposit the money there is no guarantee that the merchant really sends and delivers the good to you and there will be no assurance that if you don't receive the good the merchant will give you back the money. When i checked out his number I was shocked again I saw his number sorts with +447 ! which is not a direct number and it will deliver you to another number in another side of the world ! and when i asked for a direct number he gave me a number which was in malaysia and after checking out the number i was shocked again ! guess what ?! the number was a cell phone number ( which was probably a prepaid number ).another thing which was astonishing for me was once i was chatting with him when i said i live in us he said delivery and shipping costs 30 bucks and we ship from malaysia .then i had a malaysian friend i asked him to talk with the merchant .when my friend talked with him he said to him that i live in malaysia and want to purchase some products the merchant answered the shipping costs 30 bucks and we ship from us !!!!!! After I complained to him about this issue and asked him how you shipped from malaysia and now you ship from us ?!! he responded that i have nothing in stock in Malaysia ! I asked have you sold all of your goods in Malaysia in just 2 hours ?!!! He said yeah we are a whole sale famous company !!!! When I said that i couldn't trust with this situation and insisted to have an address of him he gave me an address ( that probably I couldn't check it out due to living in US ) but gave me an bank account number. My question is,is a bank account number in malaysia trust able and if i deposit the money but he doesn't deliver and ship the goods can i get my money back ??? ( the bank is a malaysian bank).some people told me that it's fraud for sure.but later i found another company which had very cheap prices and some how less than a half of the usual price but it accepted credit card. So,What about this one ? Is credit card safe for sure ?I mean can I trust credit card for 100 %.And is there credit card fraud as well ?If I deposit money by credit card can they STEEL my money and if they don't deliver the good can I get back my money ?Does credit card have a guarantee that if I don't receive the good,I become able to get my money back for sure ? Thanks a lot . Hope you have a nice day Bye

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!! Don't do it. No, a credit card is not guaranteed. If you give this guy your credit card number, you are asking for him to use it to buy whatever he wants. I hope you haven't given this person any information.

"When I checked out the prices I was somehow shocked. The prices were even lower than a half of the OFFICIAL prices which have been de cleared by the company!" markup on this stuff is10-30% Even refurb would be higher than that. At best he's selling stolen goods. At worst, he' a pure crook trying to steal your money. Pass. Rule #1. If it smells too good to be true......
Answer 4 :
How many more clues do you need that this is a scam???? There are NO electronics for sale. if you send your credit card the scammers are going to max out your card. Drop this - do not even attempt to deal with these criminals.
Answer 5 :
100% scam, you know this, you already asked this before AND you did all the research! There are NO phones, there are only stolen stock photos of phones. There is only a scammer trying to steal your hard-earned money. STOP thinking that someone somewhere magically has lower prices for name brand electronics. Seriously, if he did, he would NOT need to advertise as he would have a line out the door and down the street of buyers waiting to throw their cash at him. NO, bank account is NOT a safe way to pay, EVER. Your bank can only get your money back if there is money left in the scammer's bank account. Scammers know this and will immediately withdrawal the money you transferred. No money in the account means absolutely no possibility of you getting your hard-earned cash back. Doesn't matter what country the bank account is located in, your money is gone the second you send it. WU and MG are worse. Western Union and moneygram do not verify anything on the form the sender fills out, not the name, not the street address, not the country, not even the gender of the receiver, it all means absolutely nothing. The clerk will not bother to check ID and will simply hand off your cash to whomever walks in the door with the MTCN# and question/answer. Neither company will tell the sender who picked up the cash, at what store location or even in what country your money walked out the door. Neither company has any kind of refund policy, money sent is money gone forever. Paypal is just as unsafe, paypal can only get your money back if there is money left in the scammer's paypal-linked bank account. Scammers know this and will immediately withdrawal your money and disappear. No money in the scammer's paypal-linked bank account means absolutely no possibility of refund for you. Now that you have responded to a scammer, you are on his 'potential sucker' list, he will try again to separate you from your cash. He will send you more emails from his other free email addresses using another of his fake names with all kinds of stories of cheap electronics, great jobs, lottery winnings, millions in the bank and desperate, lonely, sexy singles. He will sell your email address to all his scamming buddies who will also send you dozens of fake emails all with the exact same goal, you sending them your cash via Western Union or moneygram. While there is a chance you could get your money back by doing the chargeback credit card procedure at your bank, just remember that you have willingly given your credit card number to a criminal. What is to stop that criminal from recharging your card, repeatedly, and selling your card number to all his criminal buddies? You could post up the email address and the emails themselves that the scammer is using, it will help make your post more googlable for other suspicious potential victims to find when looking for information. Do you know how to check the header of a received email? If not, you could google for information. Being able to read the header to determine the geographic location an email originated from will help you weed out the most obvious scams and scammers. Then delete and block that scammer. Don't bother to tell him that you know he is a scammer, it isn't worth your effort. He has one job in life, convincing victims to send him their hard-earned cash. Whenever suspicious or just plain curious, google everything, website addresses, names used, companies mentioned, phone numbers given, all email addresses, even sentences from the emails as you might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find already posted online. You can also post/ask here and every scam-warner-anti-fraud-busting site you can find before taking a chance and losing money to a scammer. If you google "fake iphone seller", "fraud Western Union electronics scam" or something similar you will find hundreds of posts of victims and near-victims of this type of scam
